What is the VIP BOX?
We know that it is very important to have the sunglasses fit properly, feel good and look good! So.. the VIP BOX is a program where you can actually choose a few pairs of sunglasses and then try them on at home. How it works is that you go shopping on our website and choose a few pair of sunglasses (2 to 5 pair). We send you the sunglasses for free and you will have up to 5 days to make your decision on which pair(s) are the best for you (free shipping both ways!). Then you will send the box back to us with our prepaid label we send you. Of course, we ask that the sunglasses return to us in brand new condition and unworn, all packaging that came with the sunglasses need to be sent back... the box, the case, the warranty. When the sunglasses return to us, we will charge your credit card ONLY for the sunglass (or sunglasses!) that did not return to us.

How do I create my VIP BOX?
Just shop in our e-store normally. When you want to add a sunglass to your VIP BOX, you simply have to check a box that indicates that this is for your VIP BOX. Then you add it to your cart normally. See below:

I thought the VIP BOX Program was free—why do you need my credit card?
The VIP BOX program is absolutely free! During the checkout process, you will be asked to provide a valid credit or debit card before completing your order. We require your credit or debit card information for security purposes, but rest assured that the VIP BOX program is a totally free 5-day trial. We ask for your credit card for a few reasons...We "authorize" the credit card before shipping the sunglasses in order to confirm that it is a valid credit card. And If for some reason, we do not get the box back or the sunglasses come back worn and damaged, we will charge your credit card for this. The "authorization" of your credit card will NOT charge you but it does "hold the funds aside" until the authorization is lifted (until we receive the VIP BOX back).

During the checkout process the invoice says that it charged my Credit Card? I thought this was free?
You will clearly see in your cart which Items are marked for a VIP BOX and that you will not be charged - we will ONLY authorize your card for the amount displayed - but your credit card will NOT be charged unless you decide to keep the sunglasses. You can see here:

What if I am late returning the box, or I forget to return the box?
You will have 5 days to decide, and we will be sending you emails to help you remember... We will tell you the exact day you will need to return the VIP BOX to us. So don't worry... we try to make it easy for you! If you need another day... just give us a call at 888.492.7297 and we will note your account - no problem! If you do not return your VIP BOX, or if returned sunglasses are damaged, we will need to charge the card on file the full price for each outstanding or damaged sunglass. In order to avoid this charge, your Home Try-On will need to be postmarked (on its way back to Sanibel Sunglass Company) by the fifth full day after delivery. If your Home Try-on period ends on a weekend or holiday, just drop it in the mail on the next available day.
